Hello! We are the Wahlstroms and we are the owners of Pine Grove Lodge. We took over the resort business from Wayne & Sue Wahlstrom (Shawn’s parents) in 2016. We moved up to the resort from Albertville, Mn.
We have 2 children, Sabryn (20) & Caleb (17) and 2 friendly resort dogs- Sequoia & Denali. Our kids are great helpers at the resort and hard workers. Sabryn graduated as Valedictorian in 2021 and is pursuing a degree in Elementary Ed,  while also working full time as reading mentor for K-3 through Americorps. Caleb will be graduating in spring of '24 and is undecided on future plans as of yet, but considering pursuing a degree in law enforcement to eventually work as a conservation officer.
Shawn grew up at the resort and Megan grew up in Bemidji. Shawn had been in sales and coming up to help his parents at the resort for several years prior to making the move up north. Megan is an RN and still works as an RN on a casual basis along with helping at the resort. We all enjoy fishing and watersports and just being on the water.
This will be our 9th season at the resort and every year gets better thanks to our amazing guests! We look forward to many more years of making new memories and new friends at Pine Grove Lodge!
