The cabins were surrounded by true wilderness...birds, deer, huge trees everywhere, and a lovely lake. If you enjoy nature and a rustic spot, you will truly enjoy this resort.

Beautiful area in the pines that provided a great city escape. Shawn was a great host and I really couldn’t rave more about the location: so peaceful with classic Northern MN charm.

We have been going to Pine Grove Lodge since the early 1990s and continue to vacation there! The cabins are immaculate, the fishing is top notch and the hospitality is unbeatable! There is plenty to do for every member of your family, from young to old.

Our family has been staying at Pine Grove Lodge since 1987. What keeps us coming back year after year is the peacefulness and beauty of the resort as well as the Wahlstroms who take such great care and pride in making this resort truly the “Jewel of the North”. Our love for the tall pines, immaculate cabins, abundance of wildlife, fishing and boating, swimming and kayaking as well as just relaxing make for a wonderful vacation. You will not find a more awesome and beautiful resort in the middle of the Chippewa National Forest on gorgeous Sand Lake.

Hurney’s!! We loved everything about the people. Sean and Megan were great hosts. Carol and I wish them the best. There were 9 of us and everyone said they had a good time.

Been going here with family for the past 20+ years. Love it. Just a few cabins on the quiet side of the lake. Great place to get away and enjoy nature.
